    After triple talaq in thana, man marries lover

    Two days after a 24-year-old man allegedly gave triple talaq to his wife over phone from a police station in Bijnor Kotwali, police have registered a case against him and five others under sections 3 and 4 of Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Ordinance, 2018 based on a complaint lodged by the latter’s mother. Soon after, he also married his lover within the station premises.
